They have been treated with the QSA process which transforms it's performance when powering audio equipment. This process is not a modification, it does not change the breaker's ability to operate normally. It is a treatment to the conductors that ultimately lowers the noise floor on the power flowing through it. While the material cost is certainly way, way lower than our asking price, it's not the physical material that makes up the bulk of the cost. It is the QSA processing of the breaker that is the majority of the cost. The QSA process is proprietary and a closely guarded trade secret. My guess is their pricing structure is based on whatever energy or time is spent processing the conductors, and I am also certain it is based on the level of sonic benefit they achieve with the process. It's a process they developed over 25 years, and I am sure at considerable up-front expense. It's not unlike software development. Your not paying for a physical item, you are paying for what the software does for you. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003eResults In Our System\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBefore the QSA Breaker, we had a builder grade common 20 amp breaker connecting our audio circuit to our studio system, we had a short run (12 feet) of high quality 10AWG wiring in the wall from the breaker box to the \u003ca href=\"%%GLOBAL_ShopPathSSL%%\/ac-receptacles\/\"\u003eGold QSA wall receptacle\u003c\/a\u003e. Our \u003ca href=\"%%GLOBAL_ShopPathSSL%%\/kiyora-power-conditioner\/\"\u003eKiyora power conditioner\u003c\/a\u003e was plugged into the Gold QSA, and we were using both \u003ca href=\"%%GLOBAL_ShopPathSSL%%\/power-adapters\/\"\u003eplug and iec jitter adapters from QSA\u003c\/a\u003e on our other components plugged into the Kiyora. So as you can see, our system had plenty of QSA power products installed prior to the circuit breaker, so our expectations were moderate.\u003cbr\u003eBottom line, the circuit breaker provided a MAJOR difference in dimensionality, naturalness and liquidity of the music being produced by components in the circuit. You will want to choose the same brand and model that matches your breaker panel and the circuit amperage. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe easiest way to find that out is by opening the front door on your breaker panel and taking note of what brand and model breaker is currently used in it. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf you want to be more precise, have an electrician pull the breaker you are planning to replace, identifying the brand, model, and attachment mechanism that fastens it to the breaker panel. Buy a new breaker of the same exact make and model, and contact us.
