As you rise in connector treatment level, you go from equal performance in resolution, but superior in soundstage, to a level that really has to be heard to be believed. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis cable is definitely \u003cem\u003eNOT\u003c\/em\u003e audio jewelry. It is  very utilitarian, pragmatic and designed for great sound.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Violet level connectors easily surpass the FI-50 NCF, and put this assembled cord on an \"equal but different\" footing with Grand Activation's own \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/tweekgeek.com\/collections\/grand-activation-power-cords\/products\/grand-activation-extreme-hga-2000-power-cord\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eHGA2000\u003c\/a\u003e. You surpass the performance of the HGA 2000 when you choose the Red level QSA connectors and beyond. Beyond that, you are in some pretty competitive territory. I am confident that this cord at the Gold level would likely embarass some oligarch level power cables. I will let you know for sure very soon. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003eEqual But Different\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhen I say equal but different when comparing the QSATGA cord to the GA (Grand Activation), I mean equal in terms of resolution and soundstage, but different in tonal character. The Grand Activation HGA2000 is a balanced performer across the board. The HGA6000 has a more resolving nature, but a darker character. It's counterintuitive and true. Both cables present the audio with an inner glow as well.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe QSATGA character is more lit up and energized than the GA, which I would call more relaxed. Once you arrive at the Black Red level cord, you go beyond the performance of the top of the line GA cable.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003eConclusion\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLook, the internet is full of hyperbole these days. \"What is truth?\" we shout at our displays as yet another component becomes the product of the hour on the 50 various YouTube channels (no disrespect, there are just a lot of you).  Their ears aren't your ears. Their systems aren't your system. Their tastes aren't your tastes. There is only one true way to know: I give you the opportunity to try one or two of these power cords in your own system. Listen for yourself. If they don't perform better than your existing cords, send 'em back. If they do, then you decide if they are worth the investment. If it's good enough for sensitive medical equipment, it's good enough for an audio component.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor the short 6 foot run, 14 gauge has very low resistance. Many of you probably have 14 awg wire in the circuit that powers your audio system. For everyone else who has dedicated circuits with high current carrying in wall wire. Terrific! 14 AWG wire over 6 feet has a DC resistance of 0.015 to 0.016 ohms. In other words, it will not have much of an impact on current delivery.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003eAn Ideal Platform for Future Tweaks\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Sonic Tonic Power Cable is an excellent base for some forthcoming additional, and also inexpensive tweaks.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003ePro Tips\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eIt takes about 48 hours to break in, and can sound pretty awful at first. \u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eSince the cable is unshielded, keep it away from speaker and signal cables. \u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAm I going to promise giant killing performance? Maybe. I think in terms of enjoyment per dollar spent this ranks pretty high.
