The Next-Gen FLOW regenerates that signal in a clean environment with a reference-grade clock, then hands it to your DAC in the format the DAC was designed to receive, including the proprietary links used by MSB, CH Precision, and EMM Labs.

The Design

The Next-Gen FLOW brings the master-reclocker concept of Innuos's flagship NazaréFLOW to the ZEN Next-Gen series. It shares the NazaréFLOW's reference-grade 3ppb OCXO master clock, with a power supply and chassis engineered to match the ZEN and ZENith Next-Gen. The incoming USB signal is fully regenerated and retimed, so your DAC receives a precise, steady signal free of the noise and timing errors picked up upstream.

Modular DAC Connections

A high-performance reclocked USB output comes standard. For DACs with their own native interfaces, an optional output module turns the FLOW into a high-end digital converter:

• MSB ProISL module, for MSB DACs.
• CH-Link module, for CH Precision DACs.
• EMM Labs Optilink module, for EMM Labs DACs.
• I2S module, for DACs with an HDMI-type I2S input.

Using a DAC's native interface lets the FLOW optimize clock distribution between the two components, the way the DAC's designer intended.

How It Sounds

Innuos's goal for the FLOW family is steadier timing and purer sound: a more precise, naturally flowing presentation from the same source and DAC. We'll share our own impressions here as we spend time with it.

Where It Fits

The Next-Gen FLOW works with any USB source, and it reaches its full potential as the output stage of an Innuos ZEN Next-Gen, ZENith Next-Gen, or STATEMENT. Pair it with the Next-Gen NET switch to complete the Next-Gen stack, from network to DAC.
