Lumin X1

The X1 was Lumin's statement product — the one that established what the brand was capable of when cost wasn't the primary constraint. A fully balanced, dual-mono network streamer and DAC in two separate solid billet CNC aluminum chassis: main unit and external linear power supply, each machined from solid aluminum, each substantial enough to make the point without saying a word.

This unit is 8+/10 condition with a few light dings — one on the left front corner of the face. All original boxes and packaging. Non-smoking environment. Originally purchased from Tweek Geek.

The DAC and Analog Stage

Dual ES9038Pro SABRE chips, one per channel, coupled to dual Lundahl LL7401 output transformers at the outputs. The Lundahl transformers are the same ones found in world-class studio equipment — not an audiophile affectation but a genuine engineering choice that provides maximum signal isolation and the spatial quality that defines the Lumin flagship sound. A Femto Clock system with FPGA-based distribution handles timing throughout the chain.

Balanced XLR outputs deliver 6Vrms. RCA unbalanced delivers 3Vrms. The layout runs dual-mono from DAC chip to output — fully balanced, fully independent per channel.

Resolution and Connectivity

DSD512 native, PCM up to 32bit/768kHz. Ethernet and USB inputs. Roon Ready, supporting Roon, Qobuz, TIDAL, and local library playback via the Lumin app. Leedh Processing lossless volume control built in.

Press Recognition

The Lumin X1 received extensive coverage from Hi-Fi+, Stereophile, and The Absolute Sound at launch. Hi-Fi+ called it among the finest network players available at any price. Stereophile's measurements confirmed the exceptional performance the listening reviews described.
