Vicoustic Multifuser DC3

The Multifuser DC3 is a bi-dimensional sound diffusion panel — it scatters sound on both the vertical and horizontal planes simultaneously. Where conventional diffusers work in one dimension, the DC3's geometry provides multi-directional reflection that breaks up standing waves and flutter echo more thoroughly in real-world rooms.

Application

Mid and high frequencies — the range where diffusion brightens, clarifies, and adds apparent spaciousness to a room. Placement on the rear wall behind the listening position is the standard starting point, followed by the side walls at the first reflection points. Ceiling placement above the listening chair adds a third dimension of control. Each DC3 covers 60 x 60 cm — a practical size for systematic coverage.

Unlike absorbers, which remove energy from the room and can make a space feel dead, diffusers redistribute that energy. The result is acoustic control without the closed-in quality that over-treatment with absorbers produces. A well-treated room uses both.
