Capacitors

The aR6-T4 incorporates Audience Aura-TR  filter capacitors. The new Aura-TR capacitors are more resolute, more dynamic and provide a more distinct sound stage. Whereas the T3 is the new "standard" Teflon conditioner, the T4 is the top version that includes several more technologies for all out performance.

Hidden Treasure AC Receptacles

In addition to the Aura-TR capacitors, the T4 series includes new Audience Hidden Treasure duplex receptacles and is treated throughout by Audience's proprietary Ultra High Voltage Process. Singularly, each of these three new technologies provides a notable improvement. However, in combination, these three new technologies, achieve a truly stunning result. The Audience Hidden Treasure duplexes set a new benchmark in the world of AC outlets. The HT duplexes, compared to the previous rhodium/copper outlets, are more resolute yet smoother at the same time. 

Proprietary UHV Process

The entire circuit of the T4 is treated by an Audience proprietary Ultra High Voltage process. This treatment delivers voltages upwards of 1 million volts at specific pulse modulations, frequencies and amplitudes, in differing ratios, to individual, and all combined conductive constituents. This unique and special process creates predictable paths through the crystalline grain structure of the various metals, including connection points, and provides a continuity and integrity to the complete AC path. The audible result of the UHVP is one of improved resolution, dynamics, and more pristine sound stage.

S Filter

The T4 also includes 1) the previously optional S filter, a large core passive balun transformer providing additional filtering over a broader frequency spectrum down into the critical 20-30Hz range and 2) Audience Au24 SX 6-nines OCC powerChord wire throughout.

The MOV: Enemy of high quality sound

Of the power conditioning products on the market today few allow your playback system to attain full dynamic range or reproduce subtle dynamic contrasts accurately. The other culprit afflicting most power conditioning products is the ubiquitous MOV. (Metal Oxide Varistor) The MOV is a sacrificial device. This means it wears down over time until it fails completely. Its purpose is to clamp high voltage transients safely to ground instead of through your equipment. This would be fine if it didn't break down and behave like the world's worst capacitor across your power line, storing energy and releasing it as performance robbing, time delayed distortion into your audio system. The effect is quite audible. For surge protection the Adept Response employs a non-wearing type high voltage transient suppression.

Magnetic Circuit Breakers

The Adept Response aR6-T4 uses only the finest conducting, filtering and transient suppression components. Even the power switch is exceptional, a very high quality magnetic circuit breaker. The advantage over thermal circuit breakers is that thermal breakers increase in resistance as power demand increases, causing heat dependent, resistive modulation of the incoming voltage.This effectively reduces the power available to your equipment just when you need it most.The design employed in the Adept Response provides for the most natural flow of music.
The state of the art inductive components used in the Adept Response aR6-T4 power conditioner add no significant series resistance. This maintains a low impedancepower path to your playback system. Also, the Adept Response performs partial power factor correction. This helps restore natural dynamics by bringing the AC voltage and current into a better phase relationship allowing a more efficient transfer of power. Individually Filtered Receptacles

Each of the 6 outlets is individually filtered and double filtered from every other outlet providing maximum component to component isolation.
