The argument that any cable is worth any price is equally hard to defend. We sit somewhere in the middle: cables matter, cable choices are system-dependent, and the wrong cable in the right system often costs more than the right cable in the wrong system. Each category has its own calculus. Ethernet cables, for instance, have become increasingly relevant as streaming has become the primary source in most systems.
