What Changed with the SX

The Au24 SX speaker cable is a meaningfully upgraded successor to the Au24 SE — not a cosmetic refresh. Three specific improvements define it.

Six-nines OCC copper — 99.9999% pure. The SE used high-purity copper. The SX moves to the same 99.9999% OCC copper that Audience uses in the CRYO²-treated conductors throughout the line. At this level of purity, the grain boundary artifacts and resistive losses that affect lesser conductors are reduced to near-zero. The signal that arrives at your speakers is a more complete and faithful representation of what left your amplifier.

Heavier gauge than the SE. The Au24 SX speaker cable is built to a heavier gauge than its predecessor — a deliberate decision by Audience to improve current delivery, dynamic authority, and bass control. The cables are more relaxed yet more dynamic than the SE, with a richer tonal palette. This is not a contradiction: a conductor that delivers current more freely under dynamic load sounds both more effortless and more capable at the same time.

CRYO² — dual-stage cryogenic treatment. Each component of the cable is cryogenically treated individually, then the fully assembled cable undergoes a second complete cryogenic treatment. This two-stage process refines the crystalline structure of conductors, insulation, and connectors throughout — improving signal integrity, conductivity, and long-term stability at the molecular level. No standard single-pass cryogenic treatment achieves the same depth of conditioning.

The geometry was also refined from the SE — numerous wire samples produced and tested before the final configuration was selected. And like every Au24 SX cable, the loudspeaker cable is a low-mass design: no heavy jacketing, no oversized terminations. Fast, honest, and easy to live with.

That's not damning with faint praise.
