SteinMusic Super Ground Cube
SteinMusic Super Ground Cube
The Super Ground Cube is SteinMusic's top grounding box, and it's the one for listeners who've already chased the other tweaks. It gives your system its own quiet reference point, lets interference drain into it, and lets you tune its character in three steps to suit your system and room.
Let the noise drain away, and tune what's left.
The Design
SteinMusic describes a different approach from conventional grounding: discharge instead of grounding. Traditional solutions send interference into the building's ground, which is often under stress itself and can cause ground loops and installation problems. The Super Ground Cube creates its own stable reference potential, and you route selected ground points of your system to it with the included cable. Interference flows straight to that point instead of spreading through the building's electrical system, which SteinMusic says gives an electrically stable, clean environment without ground loops.
It's made in Germany from carefully selected materials and components. The terminal block is a gold-plated, low-mass, low-eddy-current WBT design for spades and banana plugs. The included 1.2 m cable is made in-house, wound and braided on SteinMusic's own machines, with a cotton sheath and gold-plated, Swiss-made beryllium-copper hollow banana plugs.
Three-Stage Sound Tuning
A built-in switch adjusts the Super Ground Cube's character in three stages. SteinMusic says the middle position gives an open, spacious soundstage, the upper position adds warmth, and the lower position adds substance and density. That lets you tailor it to your system, your room, and your taste.
What You Hear
SteinMusic says the Super Ground Cube reduces interference to bring greater clarity, depth, openness, and natural sound, with more inner calm and a stronger musical presence. Music sounds freer, more vibrant, and more natural. SteinMusic describes timing improving, timbres clearing, and the sound becoming more spacious and cohesive. Compared with the Signature version, SteinMusic says it takes a decisive step further: more substance, openness, and expression, finer detail, more cohesive yet expansive soundstages, and voices and instruments with more body and naturalness.
Installation
Installation is simple and flexible. Connect it to a free outlet in the electrical distribution panel, to a wall socket, or to a grounded metal point, and use it anywhere in the system. SteinMusic recommends aligning it along the north-south axis for the best performance.
Where It Fits
Choose the Super Ground Cube when you want the most from grounding and enjoy tuning by ear. The Ground Cube Signature and Silver Signature are SteinMusic's other ground boxes, with the Super Ground Cube at the top of the range. We're happy to help you plan which ground points to connect and how to set the switch.
Press Recognition
- HiFi Knights, Dawid Grzyb, reviewed the Super Ground Cube, and SteinMusic published it on its blog. Read about it on the SteinMusic blog
- Customer reviews on SteinMusic's store give it five stars from five reviewers. One reviewer, Murat B., described "incredible layering and realism." Another, Martin, heard a second cube improve things further and bought two. These are owner impressions rather than professional reviews. Read them on the SteinMusic store
