Hapa Audio Ember USB
Hapa Audio Ember USB
The Ember USB approaches USB cable design differently from simply improving shielding and conductor quality. Hapa Audio's eight-wire configuration with Teflon insulation weaves the data wires so that the cable's own geometry cancels noise.
Noise cancellation built into the cable's weave.
The Design
Hapa Audio is a small cable maker in Aurora, Colorado, founded by Jason Wong in 2020. USB audio carries power and data in the same cable, and Hapa arranged the Ember's eight wires so that noise cancellation is part of the structure rather than left entirely to an outer shield. Hapa developed this approach specifically for the USB audio application.
How It Sounds
Hapa positions the Ember USB as the way into its house sound for USB audio. We'll add our own listening notes as we gather them.
Where It Fits
Use it between your streamer or computer and a USB DAC, in lengths from .5m to 2m. The Aero Cu and Aero AG USB cables are Hapa's aerogel step-ups. Tweek Geek offers in-home auditions nationwide.
