QSA Network Switch — Crystal Gold Version
QSA Network Switch — Crystal Gold Version
QSA has applied their Crystal Gold treatment to a network switch — the Crystal Gold version of their audiophile network switch product. If you've heard what QSA does to fuses, receptacles, and LAN adapters, you have an accurate expectation of what a Crystal Gold-treated switch brings to the network audio path. At the Crystal Gold level, the effect is significant.
What It Addresses
Network switches are noise sources. Their switching power supplies generate electrical noise that travels back through the AC line. Their internal circuitry generates noise that propagates through the Ethernet connections to every device connected to them. A QSA-treated switch addresses what conventional audiophile switches address through linear power supplies and isolation — and then applies the QSA treatment on top of that engineering.
The Crystal Gold Level
Crystal Gold is the second-highest tier in the QSA treatment hierarchy — above Gold Red in the Crystal series. At this level, the treatment's effect on resolution, soundstage, and naturalness is at the top of what QSA's technology achieves. The Crystal Gold switch is for the listener who has addressed every other variable and wants to understand the ceiling of network audio quality.
