The frontRow Difference in the Digital Domain

The frontRow USB brings the complete MORRE platform to the USB connection: four 29-strand conductors of 99.9999% pure OCC copper in frontRow twinaxial geometry, PTFE Teflon dielectric on ground conductors and virgin XLPE on signal conductors, an OFC copper braid shield, MORRE Deep Cryo II and EHVP post-production applied after final assembly, and a three to four day factory burn-in.

The geometry is the same twinaxial architecture used throughout the frontRow line — developed specifically to minimize electromagnetic interaction between conductors and provide maximum rejection of the RF noise that USB connections are particularly prone to generating. The OFC copper braid shield actively deflects interference before it can reach the signal conductors or escape into adjacent components.

The result is a cleaner, lower-noise USB signal that allows the DAC to work in a more favorable electrical environment — receiving data with less jitter, less RF contamination on the power lines, and more consistent timing than a standard cable provides.

Available in both USB A>B (the standard connection for most DACs) and USB A>C (for devices with USB-C inputs), the frontRow USB covers the most common configurations in modern digital systems.

Each cable is assessed for signal directionality before build and ships with a certificate of quality personally signed by the master technician who built it.

What It Sounds Like

The frontRow USB's improvements follow the same pattern as the frontRow analog cables — a lower noise floor that allows fine detail to emerge with greater ease, more stable and three-dimensional imaging, improved tonal color and harmonic texture, and an overall presentation that flows more naturally and sounds less like processed audio.

Jack Roberts at The Audio Beatnik added it to his reference system without qualification — and gave it Best Cable of 2020. For listeners using a computer, network player, or streaming transport as their digital source, the frontRow USB is one of the highest-leverage upgrades available.
