Innuos Next-Gen FLOW — CH-Link Module

For use with the Innuos NextGen Flow

CH Precision builds their DACs around their own proprietary digital interface. USB works, but it is not what CH Precision designed their converters to receive at their best. The CH-Link Module replaces the Next-Gen FLOW's standard output stage with native CH-Link connectivity, so the reclocked signal from the FLOW arrives at the DAC in the form CH Precision intended — without translation, without the electrical compromises of USB, and without an intermediate format conversion adding its own contribution to the signal.

The argument is the same as for any native protocol module in the Next-Gen FLOW system: when a reclocker and a DAC can communicate in the DAC's own language, the entire digital handoff operates at a level that a generic interface cannot match. The FLOW's 3ppb OCXO clock reclocks and regenerates the signal from the USB source; the CH-Link Module delivers that result to the DAC precisely as the FLOW produced it.

How it fits into the signal path

The USB source — ZEN Next-Gen, ZENith Next-Gen, STATEMENT, or any USB audio device — connects to the FLOW's USB input. The FLOW receives the signal, strips its timing, and regenerates it from the internal 3ppb OCXO master clock. The CH-Link Module then transmits that reclocked output to the CH Precision DAC over the native CH-Link interface. The standard USB cable that would otherwise connect source to DAC is replaced by this chain in its entirety.

Power

The output module section within the Next-Gen FLOW runs from its own dedicated CX-regulated supply, separate from the clock and input stage supplies. The 300VA transformer and ARC6 active rectification provide the foundation; dedicated regulation at the module level ensures a stable, isolated supply for the output stage. The CH-Link Module benefits from that architecture in the same way as the core unit's clock circuitry.

Compatibility

The CH-Link Module is designed for CH Precision DACs with CH-Link input connectivity. Confirm compatibility with your specific CH Precision DAC model before ordering — not all CH Precision products carry the CH-Link input, and the interface is specific to their higher-tier converters. The module is designed exclusively for the Next-Gen FLOW and is not compatible with the NazaréFLOW or other Innuos products.

Where it fits

For CH Precision DAC owners building an Innuos source chain, the CH-Link Module is the connection that completes it. The FLOW's reclocking is the same regardless of which output module is fitted — what the module changes is how that reclocked signal reaches the DAC. With the CH-Link Module, it arrives via the interface CH Precision designed their converters to use at their best.
