IsoAcoustics GAIA Neo Cap

Most GAIA Neo installs look clean straight out of the box. Some speakers, though, leave a sliver of O-ring, washer, or thread showing between the isolator and the cabinet. Others give the compression washer only a narrow surface to bear against. The GAIA Neo Cap handles both. It covers the top of the isolator with a finished, machined collar and carries the compression washer inside it, so the contact stays full and firm.

What It Does

• A finished look. The cap covers the O-ring channel, the compression washer, and the thread inlet, so the isolator meets the speaker with a single clean line.
• Full contact on narrow surfaces. The compression washer sits inside the cap, which spreads its contact where the mounting surface is small. IsoAcoustics recommends the cap whenever GAIA Neo goes on the B&W D3/D4/D5 Plates for exactly this reason.
• A natural partner for the M8 Spacer. On compatible Sonus faber speakers, the GAIA Neo M8 Spacer and GAIA Neo Cap work together for a tidy front install.

Fit and Installation

Choose the cap that matches your GAIA Neo model and finish. The inner hole measures 12.5 mm (1/2 in), so the cap fits M12, 1/2 in, and smaller threads.

The cap takes up a little of the thread length between the isolator and the speaker. For most installs with the cap, IsoAcoustics recommends its longer x20 GAIA Neo thread adaptors, and we order those for you free of charge.

Installation takes a minute per foot. Thread in the correct adaptor and remove the O-ring. Seat the compression washer inside the cap. Then set the cap and washer onto the GAIA Neo, inside the O-ring channel, and thread the isolator into the speaker as usual.

Where It Fits

The GAIA Neo Cap is the finishing touch for any GAIA Neo install where the top of the isolator is on display, and the right call on adapter plates and narrow speaker bases. If you're ordering GAIA Neo for B&W 800 Series speakers on the D3/D4/D5 Plates, add a set of caps to the order.
