Lumin P2

The DAC Section

Dual ESS ES9038PRO SABRE chips in true mono mode — one chip dedicated to each channel, not two channels sharing a single chip. The ES9038PRO is ESS's flagship 32-bit, eight-channel reference DAC. Running one per channel in mono operation provides full hardware precision and processing headroom per channel, maximizing both channel separation and dynamic range.

Dual Lundahl LL7401 output transformers — the same transformers found in the X2 and X1 flagships. Lundahl transformers provide signal isolation and the particular analogue quality that defines the Lumin flagship sound: warmth, spatial coherence, naturalness. These are not aspirational components in the P2. They are the genuine article.

The Power Supply and Connectivity

Internal dual-toroidal linear power supply — a generous chassis accommodates what a single toroidal would not. Optical fibre SFP input for galvanic network isolation. Nine inputs total: balanced XLR analogue, unbalanced RCA analogue, three HDMI with ARC support, plus the full complement of digital inputs. USB audio input handles files from connected drives. The Femto clock system and Leedh Processing lossless volume round out the platform.
