Wireworld Micro-Eclipse 10 Balanced Digital Cable

An AES/EBU connection between your source and DAC carries every bit of your music, and it only works at its best when the cable holds the precise 110-ohm impedance the format calls for. The Micro-Eclipse 10 does exactly that with pure OCC-7N copper, at a price that makes a real digital upgrade easy.

The Design

The conductors are 26-gauge pure OCC-7N copper. OCC stands for Ohno Continuous Casting, which grows each strand as a nearly continuous crystal, and 7N means 99.99999% pure.

They're arranged in Wireworld's DNA Helix geometry, built to 110 ohms, the AES/EBU standard. Holding that impedance steady keeps reflections down, so the digital signal arrives with clean edges and stable timing, and your DAC's receiver has an easier job. COMPOSILEX 5, Wireworld's own insulation, is engineered to minimize the static noise that insulation itself can create. Contacts are silver-clad copper alloy.

How It Sounds

Expect a clearer, more relaxed digital presentation than a generic XLR or microphone cable can give, with better focus and natural tone.
