Wireworld Silver Eclipse 10 Speaker Cable

Between the flagship Platinum Eclipse and Wireworld's copper cables sits the Silver Eclipse 10, the speaker cable that brings much of the Platinum's openness to systems at a far more approachable price. The Absolute Sound reviewed it with the matching interconnect and named the series a Product of the Year.

Much of the Platinum's openness, at a fraction of the Platinum's price.

The Design

Each polarity carries 6mm2 of OCC-7N copper clad in silver. OCC stands for Ohno Continuous Casting, which grows each strand as a nearly continuous crystal, and 7N means 99.99999% pure. Wireworld adds the silver cladding to the OCC-7N copper of the Eclipse 10, bringing the sound closer to the solid silver Platinum Eclipse 10 while keeping copper's full-bodied foundation.

The conductors are arranged in Wireworld's patented Octo DNA Helix geometry, eight helically woven groups per polarity. Wireworld designs the DNA Helix to cancel interference and spread the signal's energy evenly through the cable. COMPOSILEX 5, Wireworld's own insulation, is engineered to minimize the static noise that insulation itself can create. Contacts are silver-clad OFC, with spades or bananas.

How It Sounds

Wireworld voices the Silver Eclipse 10 for high resolution, pristine tone, and lifelike dynamics. Neil Gader of The Absolute Sound heard it across a wide range of speakers and electronics and judged the series a genuine advancement over the Silver Eclipse 8.

Single-Wire or Bi-Wire

Choose single-wire (SES) for speakers with one pair of binding posts. Choose bi-wire (SEB) for speakers with separate bass and treble inputs; it gives each section its own conductors all the way back to the amplifier.

Where It Fits

The Silver Eclipse 10 sits just below the Platinum Eclipse 10 in Wireworld's Series 10 speaker cables, above the Eclipse 10. It's the natural choice for high-end systems that want silver's resolution and a big step toward Platinum performance. Pair it with Silver Eclipse 10 interconnects for a matched system.

Press Recognition

  • The Absolute Sound, Product of the Year Award. Neil Gader reviewed the Silver Eclipse 10 speaker cable and interconnect (May 2026), calling the series an advancement of the breed and placing it on every audiophile's short list. Read the review at The Absolute Sound
