The Design

OHNO is named for Dr. Atsumi Ohno, who gave the audio world the method for making mono-crystal copper wire, known as OCC, for Ohno Continuous Casting. Audience builds the line to deliver the highest performance it can at an entry-level price. The conductors are six-nines (99.9999% pure) OCC copper, 21 AWG, the same grade Audience uses in its Au24 SE powerChords, insulated in cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE). Ordinary copper is a patchwork of crystals; OCC copper is a single crystal, which gives the signal an unobstructed path. Like every Audience cable, OHNO is a thin, light, flexible low-mass design, easy to install in any system, directional (look for the gold arrow), and handmade in San Marcos, California.
