Music Hall MMF 11.3 Turntable
Audiophile Turntable
"The combination of the Boston Audio mat and the Lyra Titan kept me happily playing records for more months than Roy Hall probably would have liked. I've had this `table in the system too long!" - Michael Fremer

Quadruple Stack, Superb Isolation & Noise Reduction
The Music Hall 11.3 2 speed, belt driven turntable measures 21.3" x 13.8" x 7.8" (WxDxH) and it weighs in at 40 pounds. It is constructed with quadruple stacked Piano Black MDF plinths. Each of the four plinths is separated by compliant disks made of shock absorbing Sorbothane.
The distinctive design isolates the critical sound reproducing components, each on their own plinth. The tonearm is mounted to the upper plinth and the inverted ceramic main bearing is mounted to the second plinth allowing the partially sunken 1 1/2″ acrylic platter to spin freely.
All of this is supported by adjustable, magnetic levitating feet.
The Tonearm
The tonearm, like the turntable, are made in the Czech Republic by Pro-ject. During the time Roy Hall was at the Litovel factory he specified their top-of-the-line '9cc Evolution' Carbon Fiber tone arm. The 9" arm is in one piece with a non-removable head shell. The Pro-ject 9cc arm pivots use high-quality Swiss ABEC-7 bearings.
Tips
The 11.3 is ultra smooth and ultra quiet. Placement on a mass loaded base is recommended. Cartridge and mat selection should lean to the, faster, more detailed side. The table is already very smooth
Features
- music hall's unique quadruple-plinth design w/sorbothane vibration isolation
- one-piece Project `9cc Evolution' carbon fiber tonearm
- the arm uses four hardened Swiss ABEC 7 ball races in an inverted bearing design
- tonearm is internally wired with flexible wire drawn from high purity copper with only two contact points from cartridge to output connectors
- counterweight's center of gravity is level with the stylus tip is decoupled from the arm and acts as a resonance damper
- fully adjustable azimuth, VTA, and dampened arm lift
- exclusive microprocessor electronic speed controlled dual motor single flywheel drive system
- 33 1‚ÅÑ3 and 45 rpm speed change at the touch of button
- motors and flywheel assembly are isolated on mass loaded resonant sink connected to the lower plinth
- the dual motor flywheel system sits on the left side of the turntable thus eliminating all motor and belt vibration from the cartridge
- magnetic-levitation adjustable isolation feet
- inverted ceramic main bearing for super quiet fluid operation
- thick acrylic platter
- removable acrylic dustcover
- high quality, gold RCA connectors with detachable phono cable
- low noise fully manual belt-drive design, dustcover, 45rpm adaptor
- ships securely in a substantial wood box
- excellent instruction manual and easy assembly
"Undoubtedly the MMF-11.3 is the complete package and well worth the money. I can't find anything that would limit the performance of the very best cartridge or of the best recordings. And for that matter anything at all that might detract from the vinyl state of the art."
