Vicoustic Cinema Round Premium

Your system can only sound as good as your room lets it.

Every hard wall, window, and ceiling in your listening room bounces sound back at you a split second after it leaves the speakers. Those reflections pile on top of the music and blur it: voices lose focus, the stereo image smears, and bright recordings get fatiguing fast. It's the most common problem we hear in otherwise great systems, and the fix lives in the room itself.

The Cinema Round Premium is Vicoustic's bestselling absorber, and the one we reach for first. It soaks up those early reflections across a wide range of frequencies, so what reaches your ears is the music and the recording's own space. The improvement is immediate and obvious, and per dollar it's one of the biggest upgrades you can make.

Design

Each panel is a dense polyurethane foam core wrapped in acoustically transparent fabric, with softly rounded edges that give the wall a clean, finished look. At 75mm deep it absorbs efficiently from the upper bass through the treble, with a high, flat absorption curve. Flat matters: an absorber that only works on the treble leaves a room sounding dull and boomy. This one treats the range evenly, so the room sounds calmer and clearer while staying natural.

Nine fabric colors let you match the room or make a statement. Grey, Light Grey, Beige, Black, and Natural White ship quickly; Blue, Bordeaux, Brown, and Musk Green are made to order in about 12 weeks. Natural White reads slightly darker than a painted white wall, because the grey core shows through the fabric weave.

What You'll Hear

Treat the first reflection points and the change is easy to describe. Vocals step forward and lock into place between the speakers. Instruments gain clear edges and their own space. Bass gets tighter, since the room's late energy is under control. Volume becomes your choice again, because the room stops adding its own harshness as you turn up.

Where to Use Them

  • Side walls at the first reflection points: the single most effective spot. Sit in your chair, have a friend slide a mirror along the wall, and mount a panel wherever you can see a speaker.
  • Ceiling above the space between you and the speakers, for the same reason.
  • The wall behind the speakers, especially with front-ported or dipole designs.
  • Home theaters, where clear dialogue matters as much as the music.
  • Pair with a diffuser such as the Multifuser DC4 on the rear wall for a room that sounds both clear and spacious.

Each box of 4 covers about 15 square feet. One box handles the side-wall first reflection points in most rooms; add a second for the ceiling or front wall.

Installation

Panels mount to walls or ceilings with Flexi Glue Ultra, VicFix Sticker pads, or the VicFix Base and J Profile system for a removable installation. Mounting hardware is sold separately, and we're happy to add what you need to your order.

Recognition

The Cinema Round Premium is one of the most widely installed acoustic panels in the world, found in recording studios, broadcast control rooms, home cinemas, and dedicated listening rooms. Vicoustic's own portfolio includes the Mainmix recording studio in Germany and the Waterside Vista listening room in the USA, a wall-to-ceiling hi-fi treatment built around Cinema Round Premium panels.
