The Audience Studio ONE powerChord LP brings the Studio ONE EHVP platform to DACs, streamers, preamplifiers, and other low-current components — the exact places where AC noise most directly degrades the signal. Audience's Extreme High Voltage Process applies approximately 800,000 volts post-assembly for conditioning standard break-in can't match, delivering improved dynamics, tonal purity, and a lower noise floor. TAS Editor's Choice 2023. Directional, low-mass construction.

Audience Studio ONE powerChord LP

The Studio ONE Difference — For Sources, Preamps, and Low-Current Components

The Studio ONE powerChord LP is purpose-built for the components where AC noise does the most insidious damage: DACs, streamers, CD players, preamplifiers, phono stages, and any other low-current draw component in your system. These are the devices where even small amounts of mains-borne noise — RF hash, common-mode interference, ground contamination — directly degrade the signal at its most vulnerable point.

The LP brings the full Studio ONE platform to this critical role: high-quality materials, premium geometry, Audience's Extreme High Voltage Process (EHVP), and the low-mass directional construction that defines every cable in the Studio ONE line. The result is a lower noise floor, improved resolution of fine detail, more stable imaging, and a tonal naturalness and clarity that reflects what the Studio ONE line consistently delivers — a realism and coherence that's much more in line with Audience's higher-end models than the price might suggest.

The Studio ONE Difference

What distinguishes the Studio ONE powerChord LP from the forte f5 below it is not simply better materials — it's a fundamentally different level of engineering, and one specific process that no lower-tier power cord in the Audience lineup receives.

EHVP — Extreme High Voltage Process. Voltages approaching 800,000 volts are driven through the finished cable, achieving a far more thorough and complete conditioning of the conductors than conventional break-in ever accomplishes. The benefits are consistent with what EHVP delivers throughout the Studio ONE line: improved dynamics, greater coherence, superior tonal purity, and a smoothness that makes the music feel effortless rather than processed.

Premium geometry and high-quality materials. The Studio ONE powerChord LP is built with the premium conductor geometry and dielectric quality that place it meaningfully above the forte series — materials and construction chosen to provide a highly conductive, low-noise path for AC delivery to sensitive, low-current components.

Low-mass design. As with every Audience cable, the Studio ONE LP avoids the trap of heavy jacketing and oversized connectors. Mass absorbs transient energy and dulls the sound — and a power cord that looks impressive but constrains the component it feeds is doing its job poorly. The LP's lean construction gives it an honest, open tonal character.

Directional construction. Each Studio ONE powerChord is built with specific attention to conductor directionality. The gold arrow indicates correct signal flow direction — a detail that reflects Audience's thorough approach to every element of cable design.

Why the LP — Not the HP — for Source Components

The choice between LP and HP isn't about which sounds better in isolation — it's about matching the cord to the component.

The LP is sized for components drawing lower current: DACs, streamers, network players, CD/SACD players, preamplifiers, phono stages, power conditioners, and any component whose power consumption is modest. In these applications, the LP's geometry is optimized to deliver clean, quiet AC while rejecting the RF and EMI interference that threatens sensitive low-level signal processing.

The HP is designed for power amplifiers, integrated amplifiers, and any high-current component where the cord must support instantaneous large current draws without restriction.

Matching the right cord to the right component matters — not just for performance, but to ensure the cord is operating in its optimal design range.

Where It Sits in the Lineup

The Studio ONE powerChord LP occupies an important position in the Audience power cord range — a genuine step above the forte f5, and a meaningful entry into the EHVP-treated tier of the lineup, while sitting below the frontRow powerChords where the full frontRow MORRE platform takes over.

For a system already running Studio ONE interconnects and speaker cables, the Studio ONE LP powerChord is the natural completion of a coherent Studio ONE loom — bringing the same character and quality to the AC connection as the rest of the system.

For a system running frontRow or Au24 SX signal cables with a more modest power cord, the Studio ONE LP is a high-value upgrade that will make itself heard immediately.
