The Audience Studio ONE speaker cable delivers the full Audience house sound — holographic imaging, natural dynamics, and tonal purity — at a price that makes it the sweet spot of the lineup. Improved XLPE dielectric and Audience's Extreme High Voltage Process (EHVP, ~800,000 volts post-assembly) set it meaningfully apart from its predecessor and everything below it. Neutral, versatile, and effortlessly musical with tube or solid-state.

Audience Studio ONE Speaker Cables

Where the Audience House Sound Lives — At a Real-World Price

At the best recording studios in the world, Studio ONE is the name for the biggest, most capable room in the building — the room where musicians go to do their best work. It's an apt name for a cable that punches well above its position in the lineup.

The Studio ONE speaker cable shares more DNA with the flagship frontRow than its price suggests. The same Audience house sound that defines the frontRow — the sheer neutrality, the natural flow of music, the holographic imaging and honest dynamics — is all present here. What the Studio ONE offers is that sound in a package that's accessible to a far wider range of systems and budgets, built on genuinely improved materials and a proprietary process that its predecessor, the Au24 SE, simply didn't have.

We've spent real time with these cables. Our honest assessment: the Studio ONE is the sweet spot in the Audience lineup. The combination of performance, versatility, and value is difficult to beat at anywhere near the price.

What Makes the Studio ONE Different

The Studio ONE speaker cable represents a meaningful step up from the Studio TWO — and a significant improvement over its own predecessor, the Au24 SE, thanks to two specific advances.

Improved XLPE dielectric. The Studio ONE uses a higher quality XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) than the Au24 SE it replaced. XLPE is already one of the best dielectric materials available for audio cables — stable across frequencies, low in microphonics, and electrically inert in ways that lesser insulation materials are not. The upgrade in dielectric quality in the Studio ONE contributes directly to its cleaner, more coherent sound.

EHVP — Extreme High Voltage Process. This is the big one. The Studio ONE receives Audience's proprietary Extreme High Voltage Process, in which voltages approaching 800,000 volts are driven through the finished cable. The result is a far more thorough and complete conditioning than conventional break-in achieves, with audible benefits in dynamics, coherence, tonal purity, and smoothness. This process is what separates the Studio ONE from everything below it in the Audience lineup, and what makes it perform at a level that feels genuinely out of step with its price.

Low-mass construction. Like every Audience cable, the Studio ONE avoids excess mass. Heavy jacketing and oversized connectors absorb transient energy and dull the sound — and the Studio ONE's lean profile gives it the open, honest tonal character that Audience cables are known for. It's also practical: easy to dress in tight equipment racks, flexible, and manageable in real listening rooms.

Directional by design. Each cable is built with specific attention to conductor directionality. Follow the gold arrow for correct signal flow — a small detail that reflects the level of care that goes into every aspect of Audience's construction.

What It Sounds Like

Near-holographic imaging, deep and well-defined. Rhythm and pacing are superb, with noticeably superior transient capabilities compared to the Studio TWO. What truly sets the Studio ONE apart from its less expensive siblings is tonal purity and dynamics — a realism and clarity that feel much more aligned with Audience's higher-end models than the price would suggest.

Where the Studio ONE differs from the frontRow is subtle and worth being honest about. The frontRow has a slight edge in the highest frequencies — a bit more air and ultra-fine detail retrieval at the very top of the audio band. The Studio ONE is marginally warmer in that region, which many listeners will find perfectly natural and non-fatiguing over long sessions. In every other dimension — neutrality, dynamics, soundstage, timing, tonal body — the Studio ONE tracks the frontRow very closely.

That makes it an exceptional value for tube and solid-state systems alike. Its tonal neutrality makes it highly versatile across amplifier types, and its ease and flow are immediately apparent from the first listen.

Our Take

We've compared the Studio ONE directly against more expensive cables in the Audience lineup and beyond. The conclusion we keep reaching is the same: this is the cable that makes the most sense for the most systems. It delivers the Audience sound fully and without compromise — not a watered-down version of it — at a price that doesn't require justifying a major system investment.

If you're stepping up from the Studio TWO or OHNO and wondering how much difference the next tier makes, the Studio ONE is a convincing answer. And if you're considering the frontRow but aren't ready to commit to that investment, the Studio ONE is a genuinely satisfying stopping point — not a consolation prize.
