The Design

Most Ethernet cables twist their conductor pairs together to control crosstalk. Wireworld takes a different route with Tite-Shield, its patented twinax design: each pair runs flat and parallel inside its own shielding, with the whole cable triple-shielded, at a precise 100 ohms. Twinax is the same basic approach used in the 100Gb data center cables that move enormous amounts of data, and Wireworld uses it to isolate network noise more effectively than twisted-pair cable.

The conductors are insulated with COMPOSILEX 5, Wireworld's own material, engineered to minimize the static noise that insulation itself can generate when a cable flexes. Wireworld verifies Gigabit Ethernet performance at 50 meters, and notes that with its Ethernet designs, longer lengths provide greater improvements.

The Chroma 10 uses 23-gauge oxygen-free copper. It shares its Tite-Shield design with the Starlight 10 and Platinum Starlight 10; conductor material is what separates the three, and the Chroma 10's copper is what makes a full network upgrade practical.
