Wireworld Micro-Platinum Eclipse 10 Balanced Digital Cable
Wireworld Micro-Platinum Eclipse 10 Balanced Digital Cable
If your transport, streamer, or DDC connects to your DAC over AES/EBU, that one cable carries every bit of music in your system. The Micro-Platinum Eclipse 10 brings Wireworld's flagship OCC-7N solid silver to that connection, in a slim, flexible cable that's easy to route behind a crowded rack.
Platinum-grade silver for your AES/EBU link, in a cable that bends where you need it to.
The Design
The conductors are OCC-7N solid silver, 26 gauge. OCC stands for Ohno Continuous Casting, a process that grows each strand as a nearly continuous crystal, and 7N means 99.99999% pure. It's the same conductor Wireworld uses in its Platinum flagships.
They're arranged in Wireworld's DNA Helix geometry, built to a precise 110-ohm impedance, the AES/EBU standard. Holding that impedance steady keeps reflections down, so the digital signal arrives with clean edges and stable timing, and your DAC's receiver has an easier job. COMPOSILEX 5 insulation, Wireworld's own material, and silver-clad copper alloy contacts complete it.
How It Sounds
Wireworld positions the Micro-Platinum Eclipse 10 as a smaller version of its reference Platinum Starlight 10 balanced cable, retaining much of that cable's sound quality. Expect the Platinum family's character: open, detailed, and natural, with real depth to the soundstage.
Where It Fits
Use it between any source and DAC with AES/EBU connections: a CD transport, a streamer, a DDC or reclocker. It's the value path into Wireworld's Platinum digital sound. For the ultimate version, the Platinum Starlight 10 balanced cable uses heavier 22-gauge solid silver in Wireworld's full-size construction.
Press Recognition
The Micro-Platinum Eclipse 10 is part of Wireworld's current Series 10, and reviews are on the way. We'll add them here as they're published.
