The frontRow Platform — Optimized for Sources, Preamps, and Digital Components

The frontRow powerChord comes in two versions, each purpose-built for a different role in your system. The HP handles the heavy lifting — amplifiers and high-current components. The MP (Medium Power) is engineered for the components where AC noise does the most damage to the signal: DACs, streamers, preamplifiers, phono stages, and CD players.

This matters because the noise floor problems that affect source and preamp components are different in character from those affecting power amplifiers. Source components are processing extremely low-level signals where even small amounts of AC-borne interference — RF hash, ground loops, common-mode noise — directly degrade resolution, imaging, and tonal accuracy. The MP is optimized specifically for these components, with a 14 AWG conductor geometry that prioritizes noise rejection and signal clarity over raw current delivery.

The result is an upgrade that many listeners find more immediately audible on a DAC or preamp than a power cord on an amplifier — because the signal being affected is so much more delicate.

The Same MORRE Foundation

The MP shares the full frontRow MORRE platform with the HP and with every other frontRow cable in the lineup. Six-nines — 99.9999% pure OHNO Continuous Cast Copper conductors, configured in frontRow geometry to minimize magnetic inductance and electromagnetic interaction between hot, neutral, and ground conductors. Virgin XLPE insulation, chosen for its stable dielectric constant and exceptional compatibility with OCC copper. OFC copper shielding that actively shunts RF and EMI noise to ground rather than allowing it to reach your component.

MORRE Deep Cryo II and EHVP post-production are applied after final assembly — refining the conductive lattice at the molecular level, reducing electron scatter, and establishing more efficient pathways for energy transfer throughout the cable's structure. The finished cord is burned in for three to four days before shipping.

Terminations are Audience's rhodium-plated copper wall plugs with a choice of 15-amp or 20-amp IEC, depending on your component's inlet.

What It Sounds Like on Source Components

The improvement the MP delivers on a DAC or streamer is often startling — not because power cords are exotic or mysterious, but because AC noise in source components manifests in exactly the ways that are hardest to attribute to a specific cause: a slight grain in the upper frequencies, images that aren't quite as locked and stable as they could be, bass that's present but not fully defined, a sense that the music is slightly veiled rather than immediate.

The frontRow MP addresses all of these at the source. The noise floor drops, and with it comes a clarity and precision that reveals what the component was always capable of. Imaging becomes more stable and three-dimensional. Tonal colors become more saturated and natural. The music breathes more freely.

The effect compounds when paired with frontRow interconnects and speaker cables — a full loom of frontRow cabling creates a coherent, low-noise signal path from wall to speaker that is more than the sum of its parts.

MP or HP — Which One Where?

The choice is straightforward:

frontRow MP (this cable): DACs, streamers, CD/SACD players, preamplifiers, phono stages, power conditioners, and any component drawing less than 10 amps.

frontRow HP: Power amplifiers, integrated amplifiers, and any high-current component. The HP's heavier gauge handles instantaneous current demands that the MP is not designed for.
