Wireworld Micro-Platinum Eclipse 10 Tonearm Cable

A phono cartridge produces the smallest signal in your entire system, often a fraction of a millivolt. The tonearm cable carries it all the way to the phono stage before any amplification happens, so every bit of noise or loss it adds gets amplified along with the music. That makes it one of the most important cables a vinyl lover can buy.

The most delicate signal in your system deserves the finest silver.

The Design

The conductors are OCC-7N solid silver, Wireworld's flagship material. OCC stands for Ohno Continuous Casting, which grows each strand as a nearly continuous crystal, and 7N means 99.99999% pure. A smooth, uniform conductor matters most when the signal is this small.

They're woven in Wireworld's DNA Helix geometry, which Wireworld designs to reject interference, and insulated with COMPOSILEX 5, Wireworld's own material engineered to minimize the static noise insulation itself can create. At phono levels, a quieter cable means a blacker background and more of the fine detail in the groove.

How It Sounds

Expect the Platinum family's character on vinyl: wide dynamics, deep silence between notes, and the natural tone of real instruments, with the low-level detail that makes records feel alive.

Configurations

  • Female DIN plug to two RCAs (PET), for phono stages with single-ended inputs
  • Female DIN plug to two XLRs (BPT), for balanced phono stages
  • RCA to RCA with external ground wire (PRT), for tonearms with RCA outputs

Most tonearms with a DIN output need a straight DIN plug; some arm bases call for an angled plug to clear the plinth. Choose the one your tonearm needs. To confirm, check which way your tonearm's socket faces, or give us a call.

Where It Fits

This is the top tonearm cable in Wireworld's range, above the Micro-Silver Eclipse 10 and Micro-Eclipse 10. Use it with a high-quality cartridge and phono stage, where it has the most detail to reveal. Wireworld's latest price sheet lists it as the Platinum Eclipse 10 tonearm cable; it's the same cable.

Press Recognition

The Series 10 tonearm cables are Wireworld's newest generation, and reviews of this one are on the way. We'll add them here as they're published.
