An excellent and lightning-fast store, and Mike is a true audiophile’s friend: attentive, friendly, and incredibly experienced! From the very beginning, I decided to try the highest-level QSA processing — Crystal Gold — and that decision turned out to be a real revelation for my ears.

As many have noted, the sound of QSA slowly unfolds over the first few weeks: it changes slightly, sometimes sounding brighter, sometimes softer, sometimes the bass disappears, sometimes it comes back — real “ups and downs” in the sound. After about a month, the sound completely “fell into place,” and it’s simply wonderful.

The soundstage opens wide and deep, with every instrument and voice taking its exact place. Vocals float in space, drums and bass gain weight and presence, and the upper registers sparkle with clarity without ever straining the ears. The timbres are rich, textured, and natural, and the microdynamics are stunning: the quietest details are audible like whispers, while the most powerful passages hit precisely, energetically, and without harshness.

What impresses most is the harmony across the entire range, the sense of air, and the lingering decay. They seem to fill the room, creating the feeling of being at a live concert. Every note comes alive, musical phrases flow freely and naturally, without the slightest artificiality. The sound is even, harmonious, and balanced — you just want to close your eyes and immerse yourself in the music. The words that immediately come to mind are “harmonious sound” and “musical sound. ”

QSA 15 Amp IEC Power Cord Adapter

The IEC inlet is the last connection before your component's internal power supply. The QSA IEC adapter sits there, between your power cord and the inlet, so the treatment is as close to the component as it can be, with nothing to open, replace, or modify.

The Design

QSA says its treatment, which it calls MMMAT and MAT, makes electron flow through the metal more efficient. QSA keeps the process to itself, so we judge it the way Stereo Times' Clement Perry says he does: by listening. This is a plug-in 15 amp adapter for a standard C13 cord and C14 inlet, in levels from Yellow through Gold.

Our impressions of the ladder: Yellow is the entry point and a worthwhile step; Violet is more natural and musical; Red is where the QSA character becomes unmistakable; Black/Red steps up image density and resolution; Gold is QSA's reference level.
