The Innuos Next-Gen FLOW Optilink Module is a dedicated output module for the Next-Gen FLOW, enabling native Optilink connection to compatible EMM Labs DACs. Replaces standard USB output with EMM Labs' own optical digital protocol. Benefits from the FLOW's 3ppb OCXO reclocking, 300VA ARC6 power supply, and dedicated CX-regulated output module power. Sold separately from the Next-Gen FLOW core unit.

Innuos Next-Gen FLOW — EMM Labs Optilink Module

For use with the Innuos Next-Gen Flow

EMM Labs developed Optilink as a proprietary optical digital interface for their DACs — a high-bandwidth connection designed to outperform generic S/PDIF and USB by transmitting data optically, which eliminates the electrical noise and ground interactions that copper interfaces carry. The Optilink Module fits into the Next-Gen FLOW's modular output stage and enables the FLOW to speak Optilink natively, delivering its reclocked output directly to an EMM Labs DAC through the interface EMM Labs built their converters around.

The combination is specific and purposeful. The FLOW handles reclocking — stripping the USB signal's timing and regenerating it from a 3ppb OCXO master clock. The Optilink Module handles delivery — transmitting that result to the DAC in native Optilink rather than translating it back to a generic format first. Nothing is added between the FLOW's precision output and the DAC's preferred input.

How it fits into the signal path

The USB source connects to the FLOW's input. The FLOW reclocks and regenerates the signal from the internal 3ppb OCXO. The Optilink Module transmits that reclocked output to the EMM Labs DAC over Optilink. The USB connection that would otherwise run directly from source to DAC is replaced by this chain. The DAC's Optilink input — designed to receive exactly this kind of precision optical signal — is used as intended.

Power

The output module section of the Next-Gen FLOW has its own dedicated CX-regulated supply, isolated from the clock and input circuits. The 300VA transformer and ARC6 active rectification provide the power foundation; dedicated regulation at the module level ensures the Optilink output stage operates from a clean, stable supply independent of the rest of the unit's demands.

Compatibility

The Optilink Module is designed for EMM Labs DACs with Optilink input connectivity. Confirm compatibility with your specific EMM Labs model before ordering — Optilink is not present on all EMM Labs products. The module is designed exclusively for the Next-Gen FLOW and is not compatible with the NazaréFLOW or other Innuos products.

Other modules in the Next-Gen FLOW system cover MSB (ProISL), CH Precision (CH-Link), and Soulution (HDMI I2S).

Where it fits

For EMM Labs DAC owners building an Innuos source chain, the Optilink Module is what makes the FLOW's reclocking relevant to their specific hardware. The FLOW's precision is the same regardless of output module — the module determines how that precision reaches the DAC. With Optilink, it arrives via the optical interface EMM Labs designed their converters to use at their best, without the electrical interference that copper connections introduce.

Sold separately from the Next-Gen FLOW core unit. Both available Q4 2026.
