Some of the finest DACs ever made were built around S/PDIF and AES inputs, and plenty of great digital preamps and integrated amplifiers still prefer them. The SPDIF Board connects your Innuos server to all of them. One board gives you coaxial, optical, and AES outputs, each fed by a power supply optimised for ultra-low noise.

The Design

The board's dedicated, optimised power supply keeps noise from the rest of the server away from the digital output stage, the same clean-power thinking that runs through every Innuos product. High-quality gold-plated connectors carry the signal out.

All three outputs carry PCM at up to 24-bit/192kHz, covering the hi-res library most listeners own.

How It Sounds

Many DACs sound their best through their coaxial or AES inputs, especially designs where the S/PDIF receiver was the main focus of the engineering. With the SPDIF Board, your Innuos server meets those DACs on their strongest ground.

Where It Fits

The SPDIF Board fits the STREAM1, STREAM3, ZEN Next-Gen, and ZENith Next-Gen. Choose it when your DAC, digital preamp, or integrated amplifier takes S/PDIF or AES, or when you've compared inputs and your DAC prefers them. It's also the most affordable output board for the STREAM3 and the ZEN Next-Gen series.
