Innuos STREAM1 Music Streamer and Server
Innuos STREAM1 Music Streamer and Server
Your first serious streamer should sound great on day one and keep getting better. The STREAM1 is built that way. It's Innuos's most flexible gateway: a streamer, a server, or both, in a compact chassis, with modular outputs and a clear upgrade path that grows with your system.
Start here, and grow without starting over.
The Design
The STREAM1 shares the STREAM3's platform: a 13th Gen Intel quad-core processor, 8GB of industrial-grade DDR5, and the real-time kernel from the ZEN Next-Gen series, with the OS on its own power-loss-protected SSD. A CX regulator, designed with Dr Sean Jacobs, feeds clean, independent power straight to the output stage. The compact, half-width chassis wears a 10mm CNC-machined aluminium front.
Choose Your Output
USB output comes standard. One bay takes an optional board:
- PerformanceDAC Board: AKM DAC with TCXO clocks, PCM to 768kHz and native DSD512, gold-plated RCA outputs. Turns the STREAM1 into a complete source.
- StandardDAC Board: RCA analog output plus optical and coaxial digital outputs.
- PhoenixUSB Board: regenerated, reclocked USB with a 3ppb OCXO clock.
- S/PDIF Board: coaxial, optical, and AES outputs.
Add 2TB or 4TB of internal storage, or your own, and the STREAM1 becomes a full server, with CD ripping via a USB optical drive.
The LPS1 Upgrade
The STREAM1 ships with a medical-grade filtered switch-mode supply. The partnering LPS1 linear power supply, with its 150VA toroidal transformer and Mundorf capacitors, takes it significantly further, and its second output can power a NET1 switch or a DAC at the same time. Reviewers single out the STREAM1 and LPS1 combination, and we recommend it highly.

How It Sounds
Reviewers hear far more than an entry-level product. A British Audiophile's Tarun Sharma called it the most complete product he'd reviewed in its segment, with the LPS1 taking it to another level. Fairaudio heard natural voices and instruments, and said it sounds like a device for very ambitious listeners. Hi-Fi IFAs found it detailed yet harmonious, a convincing all-rounder.
Where It Fits
The STREAM1 is the entry to Innuos's STREAM series. Build it out with the LPS1 and the NET1 switch, both styled to stack with it. When you want more, the STREAM3 adds the ARC6-CX linear supply and the PhoenixDAC and PhoenixI2S options.
