Just upgraded from a P1 to the P2. Played a lot of my favorite music from various sources--vinyl, CD and streaming. P2's sonic purity, intensity and realism were immediately superior to the P1, and the P2 isn't burned in yet.

LUMIN P2 Network Music Hub

A great system shouldn't need a rack full of boxes. The P2 is LUMIN's answer for listeners who want one beautifully built component at the center of everything: a world-class streamer, a flagship-grade DAC, and a preamplifier for every source you own, from your turntable's phono stage to your television.

It builds on the multi-award-winning P1 and sets a new reference for LUMIN's network hub family.

Streamer, DAC, and preamp in one box, and every source plays at its best.

The Design

The P2 carries the core of LUMIN's X-Series flagships. Two ESS ES9038PRO DACs run in dual mono, one dedicated to each channel, with a femto clock system and FPGA distribution keeping timing precise. The fully balanced, dual-mono output stage feeds dual Lundahl LL7401 output transformers, the same ones found in LUMIN's top players.

Two X-Series toroidal transformers power it all from inside the chassis, with separate digital and analog supply rails and low-noise linear regulation. LUMIN's latest processor provides the headroom for native DSD512 and PCM 384kHz playback, upsampling to DSD256, and years of free firmware updates. LUMIN ranks the P2 second only to the X2 in pure streaming ability.

Nine Inputs

The P2 welcomes every source in a modern system:

  • USB, with an XMOS controller for native DSD512 and PCM 384kHz from your computer.
  • AES, coaxial, and optical digital inputs for a CD transport or other digital sources.
  • Three HDMI inputs with 4K, HDR, and Dolby Vision passthrough, plus an HDMI ARC output with CEC volume control for your TV.
  • Balanced and unbalanced analog inputs, with a home theater passthrough option.

Leedh Processing lossless volume control means the P2 can drive a power amplifier directly, keeping full resolution at every volume level. An Austrian-made acrylic and zinc remote is included, and the P2's infrared receiver works with universal remotes and automation systems.

How It Sounds

Reviewers hear a source that disappears into the music. High Fidelity's Wojciech Pacuła found everything perfectly balanced, from highs and lows to micro- and macrodynamics, with deep, beautifully shaped bass. Lite Magazin praised its differentiation, clarity, and microdynamics, and its balance of precision and ease. Soundrebels heard spaciousness, grandeur, and airiness that left them with goosebumps.

Where It Fits

The P2 can be a streaming DAC, the hub of a hi-fi system, or the heart of a two-channel TV setup that replaces an AV receiver. Pair it with the LUMIN Amp for a streamlined, high-performance system: the Amp's high input impedance is designed to be driven directly by LUMIN sources, eliminating a separate preamp entirely. For a more compact hub, the P1 Mini offers five inputs in a slim chassis.

Press Recognition

  • High Fidelity (April 2026), Wojciech Pacuła. Pacuła heard music conveyed in a beautiful, sensual way, with everything perfectly balanced and bass that reaches very low with both softness and definition. Read the review at High Fidelity
  • Lite Magazin (August 2026), Philipp Schneckenburger, 100+ Luxury-Klasse Award. Schneckenburger praised its quick setup, its clarity and microdynamics, and its ability to excel as a sound machine, a control center, and a movie hub alike. Read the review at Lite Magazin (German)
  • Soundrebels (September 2026), Marcin Olszewski and Jacek Pazio. Both reviewers found it a source you can build a complete high-end system around, emotionally engaging from the first minute and truly worth your attention. Read the review at Soundrebels (Polish)
