IsoAcoustics GAIA Neo M8 Spacer for Sonus faber
IsoAcoustics GAIA Neo M8 Spacer for Sonus faber
Several Sonus faber floorstanders ship with longer spikes at the front than at the back. That tilts the cabinet gently upward, and it's part of how the speaker was voiced. Swap to four identical isolators and the tilt disappears. The GAIA Neo M8 Spacer brings it back. Installed with long M8 threads under the front of the speaker, it restores the factory rake, so you get GAIA Neo isolation and the listening angle Sonus faber designed.
Keep the tilt Sonus faber designed in.
How It Works
At the front of the speaker, a long M8-1.25 thread runs from the GAIA Neo up through the spacer and into the cabinet, adding 25 mm (1 in) of height. At the back, the standard M8-1.25 adaptors that ship with every GAIA Neo do the job. The compression washer included in the pack seats against the speaker for a firm connection. Add a GAIA Neo Cap at the front and the washer sits inside it, for a clean, finished look.

How Many You Need
Each pack covers the two front feet of one speaker, so a stereo pair takes two packs. Pick your GAIA Neo model by the weight of one speaker, and the spacer works with all three: GAIA I Neo, GAIA II Neo, and GAIA III Neo. This version is made for GAIA Neo. Owners of the original GAIA use the original GAIA M8 Spacer, and we can order that too.
Where It Fits
If you own one of the speakers above and you're moving to GAIA Neo, the spacer belongs in the same order. Sonus faber and IsoAcoustics work together closely, and this is the install IsoAcoustics specifies for these models.
Press Recognition
Accessories rarely get reviews of their own. This one earns its credit as part of the GAIA Neo system, which has drawn praise from The Absolute Sound, Hi-Fi+, SoundStage! Ultra, StereoNet, Audiophilia, and Positive Feedback, and builds on a GAIA family named Stereophile's Accessory of the Year and an EISA Best Product. The full list of reviews lives on our IsoAcoustics GAIA Neo page.
Our own experience with GAIA under Bowers and Wilkins, Sonus faber, and Acoustic Energy speakers is simple: the details of the install decide how much of that improvement you hear. Accessories like this one are how you get every bit of it.
