The Design

Each polarity carries 8mm2 of OCC-7N solid silver. OCC stands for Ohno Continuous Casting, a process that grows each strand as a nearly continuous crystal, and 7N means 99.99999% pure. That's an enormous amount of the finest conductor Wireworld uses, giving the amplifier a direct, low-resistance path to the drivers.

The conductors are arranged in Wireworld's patented Octo DNA Helix geometry, eight helically woven groups per polarity, the most elaborate version of the design. Wireworld engineers the DNA Helix to cancel interference and spread the signal's energy evenly through the cable. COMPOSILEX 5, Wireworld's own insulation, is designed to minimize the static noise that insulation itself can create.

Contacts are silver-clad OFC. Spades are standard and bananas are optional, and Wireworld also makes SpeakON and 1/4" versions for pro applications.

How It Sounds

Wireworld builds the Platinum Eclipse for complete transparency: the scale, dynamics, and tonal truth of live music, with the recording speaking in its own voice.

Single-Wire or Bi-Wire

Choose single-wire (PES) for speakers with one pair of binding posts, or when you're using the speaker's own jumpers. Choose bi-wire (PEB) for speakers with separate bass and treble inputs; it gives each section its own conductors all the way back to the amplifier.

The Platinum Eclipse 10 sits at the top of Wireworld's Series 10 speaker cables, above the Silver Eclipse 10 and Eclipse 10. It belongs in reference systems where amplifier and speakers can reveal its resolution.
