Acting as the direct successor to the popular Clear Light model, the Cygnus introduces notable upgrades in clarity, holographic imaging, and internal bi-wiring capabilities.
Key Specifications & Engineering
- Conductors: 4 x 15.5 AWG Cardas Grade 1, 99.9999% pure oxygen-free high-conductivity (OFHC) copper.
- Cable Geometry: Concentrically braided, perfect-mirror quadaxial construction utilizing Cardas' patented Matched Propagation Conductor technology and Golden Ratio scaling.
- Dielectric: Low-noise PTFE tape and Electro-Dissipative dielectric.
- Outer Jacket: Flexible blue Alcryn / TPE rubber with an outside diameter of 0.695” (17.67mm).
- Terminations: Custom machined aluminum strain reliefs with Cardas spades (6.3mm or 9mm) or banana plugs. The connectors are forged onto the cable under 10,000 PSI in a cold-welded, solderless process.
