IsoAcoustics GAIA B&W D3/D4/D5 Plates. Stainless steel adapter plates that replace the wheels on Bowers and Wilkins 800 Series Diamond speakers, using the existing wheel fasteners, and provide an M12-1.25 threaded mount for GAIA Neo and GAIA isolators. Fits the 800, 802, 803 D3 and 801, 802, 803 D4 and D5. 2.5 x 1.9 x 0.5 in (65 x 48 x 12 mm). Set of four, one speaker. Designed by IsoAcoustics in Markham, Ontario, Canada.

IsoAcoustics GAIA B&W D3/D4/D5 Plates

Bowers and Wilkins 800 Series Diamond speakers roll on wheels built into the base. They make positioning easy, and they leave the speaker with a hard, direct path into the floor. These stainless steel plates take the place of the wheels, bolt up with the same fasteners, and give you an M12-1.25 threaded mount for GAIA Neo. Your 800 Series speaker gets the isolation it has been waiting for.

Trade the wheels for real isolation.

How It Works

Remove each wheel assembly and fasten a plate in its place using the original hardware. Each plate presents an M12-1.25 threaded hole, and GAIA I Neo ships with an M12-1.25 adaptor in the box. Thread the isolator in, align the logo toward your listening seat, and level the speaker with GAIA Neo's built-in height adjustment.

The plates offer a compact contact area for the GAIA Neo compression washer, so IsoAcoustics recommends adding a set of GAIA Neo Caps to this install. The washer sits inside the cap and makes full, even contact. We recommend the same.

Compatible Speakers

One plate design covers three generations of 800 Series Diamond:

  • Bowers and Wilkins 800, 802, and 803 D3
  • Bowers and Wilkins 801, 802, and 803 D4
  • Bowers and Wilkins 801, 802, and 803 D5

For earlier Nautilus and Diamond models, IsoAcoustics makes a separate round B&W plate, and we're happy to order it.

Where It Fits

These are serious speakers, and their owners tend to notice everything. Isolating them from the floor is one of the most rewarding changes you can make while leaving the electronics untouched. Pair the plates with the right GAIA Neo model for your speaker's weight, add a set of GAIA Neo Caps, and the GAIA F1 Speaker Jack makes the wheel swap a calm one-person job.

Press Recognition

Accessories rarely get reviews of their own. This one earns its credit as part of the GAIA Neo system, which has drawn praise from The Absolute Sound, Hi-Fi+, SoundStage! Ultra, StereoNet, Audiophilia, and Positive Feedback, and builds on a GAIA family named Stereophile's Accessory of the Year and an EISA Best Product. The full list of reviews lives on our IsoAcoustics GAIA Neo page.

Our own experience with GAIA under Bowers and Wilkins, Sonus faber, and Acoustic Energy speakers is simple: the details of the install decide how much of that improvement you hear. Accessories like this one are how you get every bit of it.
