Wireworld Micro-Eclipse 10 Tonearm Cable

A phono cartridge produces the smallest signal in your system, often a fraction of a millivolt, and the tonearm cable carries it before any amplification happens. The Micro-Eclipse 10 gives that delicate signal pure OCC-7N copper and Wireworld's DNA Helix design, at a price that makes sense for a wide range of turntables.

A quieter path from the groove, in warm, pure copper.

The Design

The conductors are pure OCC-7N copper. OCC stands for Ohno Continuous Casting, which grows each strand as a nearly continuous crystal, and 7N means 99.99999% pure. They're woven in Wireworld's DNA Helix geometry, which Wireworld designs to reject interference. COMPOSILEX 5, Wireworld's own insulation, is engineered to minimize the static noise that insulation itself can create. At phono levels, a quieter cable means a blacker background and more of the detail in the groove.

How It Sounds

Expect copper's natural warmth and body on vinyl, with the clarity and quiet background that bring out fine detail.

Configurations

  • Female DIN plug to two RCAs (ECT), for phono stages with single-ended inputs
  • Female DIN plug to two XLRs (EBT), for balanced phono stages
  • RCA to RCA with external ground wire (ERT), for tonearms with RCA outputs

Most tonearms with a DIN output need a straight DIN plug; some arm bases call for an angled plug to clear the plinth. To confirm, check which way your tonearm's socket faces, or give us a call.

Where It Fits

The Micro-Eclipse 10 is the entry to Wireworld's Eclipse tonearm cables, below the Micro-Silver Eclipse 10 and Micro-Platinum Eclipse 10. It's an excellent upgrade over the generic cable that ships with most tonearms.

Press Recognition

The Eclipse 10 family is part of Wireworld's current Series 10, whose Silver Eclipse 10 earned a Product of the Year Award from The Absolute Sound. Reviews of this model are on the way, and we'll add them here as they're published.
